"The more familiar you become with Yoga Nidra,

the easier it is to glide into the relaxed state.
And as you come to know harmony,

you are soon able to recall it instantly -
in the middle of the activities of your day.”

Swami Janakananda

Yoga Nidra means “yogic sleep”. It is a state of consciousness for extreme relaxation, spiritual exploration, and inner awareness. In the initial stages, the process involves relaxing the body, part by part, and harmonizing the mind. In Meditation, you remain in the Waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise and go on. However, in Yoga Nidra, you leave the Waking state, go past the Dreaming state, and go to Deep Sleep, yet remain awake. The goal of this seminar is to allow the student to experience Yoga Nidra in a safe environment and to provide the tools for an ongoing home practice. The seminar will include a brief discussion, a few gentle stretches, and the practice of Yoga Nidra. There will be time for discussions and questions at the end of the seminar.

Please wear loose and comfortable clothing.

The cost of the seminar is $25. The seminar is limited to 12 participants.
